The Association of Assistive Technology Manufacturers of India (AATMA) envisions a collaborative ecosystem to promote and standardize Assistive Technologies across the country. The following membership structure is designed to accommodate a wide range of stakeholders aligned with AATMA’s mission of advancing accessibility and innovation in assistive technology.

How to Become a Member?

Becoming a member is a quick and guided process:

  • Fill Out the Membership Request Form – Share your organization’s details online.

  • Verification & Approval – Our team will review your submission within 3–5 working days.

  • Welcome & Access – Once approved, you’ll receive a welcome kit and personalized onboarding support.

Access legal templates, certification guides, government schemes, and policy papers.

Benefits

Membership Structure

Permanent members include the members of who have founded AATMA and manufacturers who would contribute foundation money. The Permanent Members will have the voting rights to constitute the Executive Council of the AATMA

Primary Members are startups, manufacturers and suppliers of Assistive Technology Devices (including but not limited to) Prosthetics, Orthotics, Mobility Aids, Hearing Aids, and Communication Devices.

Primary Membership in AATMA offers a range of strategic advantages aimed at empowering stakeholders in the assistive technology sector. Members have the opportunity to be part of the Executive Council, playing a vital role in the association’s governance and direction. They gain privileged access to industry data, networking opportunities, and timely updates on regulatory developments.

AATMA ensures its members are actively represented in policy dialogues and standard-setting committees, giving them a voice in shaping the future of the sector. Additionally, members can participate in AATMA-hosted exhibitions, trade shows, and buyer-seller meets, providing a platform to showcase innovations and expand their market presence.

Associate Members are distributors engaged in the supply of products related to AT Technology, Clinical Service Providers, Academicians, Scientist and Professionals actively engaged in AT Technology.

Associate Members will have access to AATMA’s resources and events, allowing them to stay informed and engaged with developments in the assistive technology sector. Their organization will be listed in the official AATMA directory and relevant platforms, enhancing visibility and networking opportunities.

They will also be eligible to participate in various working groups, contributing to discussions and initiatives, albeit without voting rights. It is important to note that this category of membership does not carry voting privileges within the association.

Institutional Members include Assocaitions, Institutions (both Governmental and Non-Governmental) / Universities / Academic & Scientific Organizations engaged in AT Educations, Research and Development and any other institution relevant to AT Technology.

These institutions should be in alignment with the objectives of AATMA such as Academic Institutions, NGOs, Research Bodies, Government-Supported Initiatives and Individuals having a reputation of working in the field of Assistive Technology.

This membership category provides opportunities for collaborative research initiatives, fostering innovation and knowledge-sharing within the assistive technology community.

Institutional Members will receive invitations to participate in technical conferences and white paper discussions, enabling them to contribute to thought leadership and sectoral advancements.

Their contributions will be acknowledged in AATMA’s official communications, enhancing their professional visibility. However, it is important to note that this membership does not confer voting rights within the association.

International Members are overseas manufacturers, R&D entities, or Professionals with interest in the Indian Assistive Technology ecosystem.

This membership category offers international entities the opportunity to collaborate with Indian stakeholders in the assistive technology sector, fostering cross-border partnerships and knowledge exchange.

Members can participate in AATMA’s global forums and exhibitions, providing a platform to showcase their innovations and engage with a diverse audience. They will also gain access to valuable insights and updates on the Indian market, aiding in strategic decision-making. However, this category does not include voting rights within the association.
